SHAPE (Stratford South Housing & Planning for Everyone) is a volunteer-led community group representing residents of South Stratford.
Who we are
We came together in response to the South Warwickshire Local Plan because we believe residents deserve access to clear information, independent analysis and an opportunity to participate meaningfully in the planning process.
Our aim is to help ensure that future development is supported by robust evidence, appropriate infrastructure and fair public consultation.
We support new homes...
SHAPE recognises that South Warwickshire needs new homes, particularly affordable housing for local people.
Our concern is not whether homes should be built, but how and where development takes place.
We believe growth should be supported by appropriate infrastructure, informed by evidence and delivered in a way that protects the environment and existing communities.
What we're trying to achieve
📖 Inform residents
Explain the Local Plan and consultation process in plain English.
📊 Review the evidence
Analyse the supporting documents and present the findings in an accessible way.
📝 Help residents respond
Encourage informed participation in the consultation and Examination in Public.
🤝 Work with local communities
Collaborate with neighbouring residents' groups, parish councils and community organisations where objectives are shared.
Our approach
We aim to ensure that everything published on this website is factual, clearly referenced and updated if errors are identified.
Transparency
SHAPE is run entirely by volunteers. Committee members receive no payment and give their time freely.
Any funds raised are used solely to support the group's activities, including maintaining this website, producing information for residents and obtaining independent advice where appropriate.
